Terms of Service

Last updated: April 16, 2026

The deal

Usuals is a free app for sharing places with friends. By using Usuals you agree to these terms. They're intentionally short — read them, and if anything's unclear, email [email protected].

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account info accurate and your sign-in credentials secure.

You must be at least 13 (or 16 in the EEA) to use Usuals. One person, one account — don't impersonate someone else.

Your content

You own everything you post — your usuals, photos, reviews, and messages.

By posting, you grant Usuals a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content within the app to the audiences you've chosen (public, friends-only, or just you). We don't claim ownership and we won't repurpose your content for advertising.

You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

Acceptable use

Don't use Usuals to:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other people.
  • Post illegal content or content that violates someone else's rights.
  • Spam, scrape, or automate mass actions.
  • Impersonate other people or organizations.
  • Run commercial activity without our written permission.

Friends, blocking, reporting

You can block any user from your profile or theirs. Blocking hides their content from you and yours from them — bidirectional, immediate, and enforced server-side.

You can report a usual, a profile, or a message to us. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Service availability

Usuals is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running, but we don't offer a formal SLA, and the service may change or have downtime.

Termination

You can delete your account anytime from in-app settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

When your account is deleted, your content is permanently removed.

Liability & disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Usuals is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the past twelve months — which, since Usuals is free, is zero.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR JURISDICTION — TODO before launch]. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.
